what kinda game is this? My other half only plays football...our latest game is Winning 11 which he has been playing since Jan. (My sis bought for him for his birthday!)

Winning Eleven is a damn good game! Mydaemon and I have been playing non-stop since dunno when.
B&W2 is about playing god. You start off a the divine entity that saves the Greeks from total elimination from the Aztecs. Don't ask me how the Aztecs got to Europe. Anyway, the game is about nurturing the civilisation. You can be a god for 'good' or 'evil'.
Good in that you take good care of the people, by giving them what they want - entertainment, facilities etc. Evil in coercing and scaring the people into worshipping you. You can do this by torture etc.
An interesting aspect of the game is that the god has a divine pet, like tamagotchi. The pet will turn good and evil based on how you train him. E.g. do you allow it to eat villagers, or do you encourage him to entertain them. All these will determine his temperament.

You may want to consider Sims 2. Think the game is more suitable for you.
